Sometimes songs just hit me out of nowhere. This one started running thru my head while I was cleaning up the kitchen one night before starting dinner.
If it sounds familiar, well, the tune is from the classic bluegrass song "Long Journey Home" (i.e. "Lost all my money but a 2-dollar bill, and I'm on my long journey home"). I'm trying to learn to play a little bit of mandolin, and I was trying to think of an easy bluegrass song I might try.
I started humming LJH thinking, yeah, that's an easy 3-chorder that I could probably play in G. Then suddenly this lyric started flashing thru the fog. I hadn't even opened the wine yet. I swear.
